Plasma is prepared from whole blood of a single healthy adult Sprague-Dawley rats. Blood cells are removed by centrifugation in containers treated with the anticoagulant potassium EDTA (K2EDTA). The resulting supernatant plasma is immediately frozen.
Maximum yield is 3-4 ml plasma per single animal. Specify gender.
