Formulation:

Lyophilized from a solution of Tris-HCl, MgCl2, ZnCl2, pH 7.4

Biological Activity:

Using the Siemens Dimension® Clinical Chemistry System, One unit will catalyze the hydrolysis of one micromole of p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at 37°C and pH 10.4 in glycine buffer.

Specific Activity:

≥10 U/mg, typically ≥25 U/mg protein

Reconstitution:

Use Tris-buffered saline (TBS) containing 10 mg/ml BSA, 1 mM MgCl2, 0.2 mM ZnCl2, pH 8.0 to prepare a concentration of 1-10 mg/ml. Store aliquots of the stock solution at -20° C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Storage/Stability:

Store lyophilized protein at -20°C to -80°C. Stable for at least 1 year.
