Description:

Perforin 1 has structural and functional similarities to complement component 9 (C9). Like C9, this protein creates transmembrane tubules and is capable of lysing nonspecifically a variety of target cells. This protein is one of the main cytolytic proteins of cytolytic granules, and it is known to be a key effector molecule for T-cell- and natural killer-cell-mediated cytolysis. Defects in this gene cause familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis type 2 (HPLH2), a rare and lethal autosomal recessive disorder of early childhood.

ELISA / ELISPOT Capture Antibody. This antibody can be used as a Capture Antibody in a human Perforin sandwich immunoassay to detect human Perforin in combination with biotinylated human Perforin Detection Antibody (Cat No CDM438). The suggested coating concentration range below should be optimized by each laboratory for each application.
ELISA: 0.5-2.5 µg/ml
ELISPOT: 5-10 µg/ml.

Storage/Stability:

Store at 2-8°C for 12 months. For longer storage, freeze aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
