The mouse monoclonal antibody recognizes human Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (NCAM1)/CD56, a cell adhesion protein which is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. NCAM1 is involved in cell-to-cell interactions as well as cell-matrix interactions during development and differentiation. NCAM1 has been shown to be involved in development of the nervous system, and for cells involved in the expansion of T cells and dendritic cells, which play an important role in immune surveillance.

Related Products: Two major epitopes of NCAM1 have been defined. Clone NKI-nbl-1 reacts with epitope 1 and Clone 123C3 (Cat # MON9006) reacts with epitope 2.

IHC: recommended dilution is 1:10-1:20, preferably in PBS.

1 ml is sufficient for 50-100 tests.

For detection of NCAM1 on cultured cells and in frozen tissue sections, including neoplasms of the lung and the nervous system. This monoclonal antibody only works on frozen sections and not on paraffin sections.

The optimal concentration should be determined by the user for each application.
