Description:

MON 4002 is useful for studying the intracellular distribution and structure of actin in the cytoskeletal system. In immunoblotting one single band is reactive corresponding to actin. In addition to the intermediate filaments, the cytoskeleton contains contractile micro filaments. These proteins occur in most cell types, but more abundantly in muscle cells and myoepithelial cells. There are three types of contractile proteins: actin, myosin and tubuli.
