Description:

Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein modifier that heavily accumulates during the oxidative stress response. In the ubiquitin/proteasome system (UPS), the proteasome is the multicatalytic protease, while ubiquitin is the molecular marker that targets protein for degradation. Cellular proteins can be mono-, multi-, or polyubiquitinated, with the latter triggering a multitude of functions depending on which ubiquitin lysine residue is used to link the ubiquitin molecules into a chain. Polyubiquitin chains linked via lysine 48 (K48) are the most abundant and the canonical signal for protein degradation by the proteasome. Anti-K48-linked Polyubiquitin (SAA0329) is a murine monoclonal antibody which targets Human, Mouse, Rat, Rabbit K48-linked Polyubiquitin
